Mrs. Spook
Who is this creature who has such a love for Halloween............Living Dead Girl! Hello its me! Where did all this spookiness come from? You might ask? Well, if you remember back in the day when loads of trick or treaters filled the streets and Halloween parties echoed through windows of houses jammin' to the monster mash! Halloween treasure hunts, school parties and costumes that you were allowed to wear all day on Halloween! Well, as you can see, it started from an early age. I must thank my mom for all her influence as a child and as I got older, it only got more creepy!
I have memories back when I was in kindergarten of a huge school  Halloween party in San Antonio Texas.  Halloween cake walk with a costume contest and Halloween pictures every where drawn by every kid in the school. Ok, so The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown was my favorite movie. I hear the Peanuts song and all I think about is Halloween!

I also lived in Colorado where my cousins and I always recycled Halloween costumes and had Halloween parties. Rooms filled with fog and spooky music playing in the background. Our house was always so scary the neighborhood bullies were too chicken to knock on the front door. Now, is that revenge or what!
In middle school, it turned from trick or treating to Halloween parties! For some reason, watching my friends squirm and freak from putting their hands in monster brains always entertained me. Does that make me evil? hmmm?! Into highschool, Halloween became more creative after discovering Shakespeare and the ever mysterious Bram Stoker's Dracula.
Several years in drama and theater classes throughout middle school and highschool gave me the added dimension to Halloween. Getting in costume, being that character and giving someone a good spook was fun.
I would decorate my moms front yard and trick or treaters thought that was the greatest. Soon, having my own apartment and my own house I was able to create front yard frights and parties that got bigger every year.
In 1995, I met Mr. Spook. We shared decorated Halloweens and devilish parties with his family. We moved to Owatonna in 2003 and wanted to carry on all our Halloween fun here. We were a little worried because it seemed trick or treaters have all mysteriously vanished! However, a couple years later we tripled in size and we have turned into a regular Haunted House!

My biggest Halloween wish is to keep the tradition alive of trick or treating and have a safe to place to come. Once we turn on the main switch to our Haunted House, the neighborhood shares the fun. Last year we scared and gave treats to 310 Halloween creatures of all ages. Not only were the trick or treaters coming to our house but to the surrounding houses reminding me of the years when I was a kid. Its gotten to be more then just trick or treating now for us, its a year around creation. We love it! Of course, we love doing what we do, but its for all of you! Those out there that love to dress up, have fun and get a little spooked by the Haunted House down the street!
Well, welcome to the
